Katy Perry’s breasts are in the news, and not in a fun way! The “Teenage Dream” songstress is in hot water after her music video with Sesame Street’s Elmo hit the internet.
The segment, featuring Perry and Elmo singing a clean version of “Hot N Cold,” was cut from the New Year’s Eve episode because of the outpour of angry parents. Parental comments on YouTube included “You can practically see her t*ts. That’s some wonderful children’s programming.”
Despite the angry backlash, the genial Perry took to her Twitter account to address the issue, saying, “Wow, looks like my play date with Elmo has been cut short! If you still wanna play see it at www.katyperry.com Tag you’re it, Elmo!”
There you have it folks. Perry’s anatomy isn’t kid friendly, and neither is anyone else’s. Let this be a lesson to all prospective Sesame Street guests: hide your stuff!
Personally, I don’t see the big deal. Adrian Grenier appeared on the show sloppily dressed and arguably hungover. He must have forgotten that he wasn’t on the set of Entourage. Double standard, anyone?
Parents are just looking to protect their children, but if not even “Sesame Street” is safe, what is?
What do you think? Was Katy Perry taking it too far with her costume? Or, are parents just being too sensitive?
