On Monday, coach Nick Saban had a message that Alabama fans might not want to hear.
The Tigers are improving.
“Auburn’s probably playing the best they’ve played all year,” Saban said. “They’ve gotten better and better, which I think is a tribute to Gus and his staff and the good job that they do with the players.”
No one is giving Auburn a chance in this weekend’s match up, but Auburn was in that position last time the Crimson Tide came to town.
“I don’t think what happened two years ago there has any impact on what’s going to happen in this game,” Saban said. “This is a difficult place to play, no question. People are usually fired up when you get there. They stay that way throughout the game.”
