There might be a rivalry game on Saturday, but that didn’t affect how Alabama’s football practice went during Monday’s media viewing period.
When Tennessee comes to town on Saturday the opposing team might be a bit more familiar than usual. At practice a few running backs wore No. 6 jerseys to help the team prepare for Tennessee’s Alvin Kamara. The former Alabama running back spent his redshirt season in Tuscaloosa two years ago. Now he is currently helping his new team with an average of 5.7 yards per carry.
Some tight ends also wore No. 82 jerseys to stand in for Tennessee’s Ethan Wolf. He currently leads the Volunteers team in receiving yards with 213 yards on 15 receptions.
Practice Notes:
- Quarterbacks like Jake Coker and Alec Morris worked with receivers like Richard Mullaney. The quarterbacks also worked with tight ends during the session.
- Defensive backs like Eddie Jackson Ronnie Harrison worked on interception drills. Harrison made a great grab at one point when he high pointed the ball late in the viewing period.
