There was a lot of movement in the polls following the latest weekend of college football, and the Crimson Tide’s place was no exception.
Alabama moved down two places in the AP Top 25 Poll to No.10 following its 27-14 win over Arkansas, but the Crimson Tide saw its position rise to No.9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Alabama remains the highest ranked one loss team in either major poll.
Four teams are currently getting number one votes in both polls. Ohio State remains on top of both polls with 47 votes in the coaches poll and 27 votes in the AP poll. Baylor follows the Buckeyes in both polls with eight first place votes in the coaches poll and 13 votes in the AP.
TCU and Utah are the other teams receiving votes in both polls. The Utes actually have the second most first place votes in the AP Top 25 Poll with 16.
LSU and Michigan State are picking up votes in only the coaches poll while Texas A&M and Clemson are only getting first place votes in the AP poll.
The number of SEC teams ranked in the polls has dropped to five since Georgia dropped out after losing to unranked Tennessee.
No.10/9 Alabama will travel to College Station, Texas to take on No.9/10 Texas A&M on Saturday.
