The SEC recognized two Alabama players this week.
Henry was named the SEC offensive player of week for the second time this season, and Calvin Ridley was named the SEC freshman player of the week.
Running back Derrick Henry was recognized after he rushed for 148 yards on 26 carries. Henry used one of those carries to rush 30 yards for a touchdown. He has now tied the school record for consecutive games with a rushing touchdown at 10. Henry’s eighth game over 100 yards also saw him set new career highs for yard and rushing attempts.
Freshman Calvin Ridley was the other player honored. He caught five passes for a career high 120 yards. Ridley took one of those receptions 45 yards for a touchdown.
