Fall 2010 Study Abroad Fair
Capstone International Academic Programs will be hosting their Fall 2010 Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the Main Floor of the Ferguson Center. This will be a great opportunity for interested students to come and discover their options to study abroad. There will be representatives from UA’s affiliates and Capstone International Academic Programs on site.
Honors College Assembly, Women’s Resource Center screen film
Cultural Experiences of the Honors College Assembly and the Women’s Resource Center will show the film “Made in L.A.” in the Ferguson Student Center game room on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. The film will address issues of smart consumerism and manufacturing. Women’s Resource Center holds volunteer orientation sessions
The Women’s Resource Center will hold orientation sessions on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. for students interested in volunteering with the center this year. The Women’s Resource Center is now located next to the School of Law in Suite 2000 of the South Lawn Office Building at 1101 Jackson Ave. Go to http://slpro.ua.edu to register. University Boulevard to be resurfaced
University Boulevard from Wallace Wade Avenue to Sixth Avenue will undergo roadway resurfacing beginning at 7 p.m. on Sept. 16. The project is expected to be complete by Sept. 25, pending no inclement weather. Two lanes will be open at all times for vehicular traffic, proper traffic control will be in place and flagmen will be present to direct traffic. Questions being accepted for gubernatorial debate
Questions are currently being accepted for next week’s gubernatorial debate between Dr. Robert Bentley and Ron Sparks. Students can submit questions that may be potentially answered by the candidates in the debate by visiting decisionalabama.ua.edu.
