Staffers of The Crimson White, The University of Alabama’s student newspaper, recount their experiences covering the EF4 tornado that struck Tuscaloosa, Ala. on April 27, 2011. These student journalists dealt with everything from reporting on the scene the night of the storm to investigating student deaths to driving coverage through social media.
Our hope is that future CW staffers and other college journalists can learn from and be motivated by our experience.
