Although I tried many sports as a kid – including, but not limited to, ballet, gymnastics, swimming, soccer, tennis and volleyball – I have never been very athletic or coordinated. As a result of this, I have never really enjoyed working out either.

In high school, I always did well in my classes, but I really struggled to get my standardized test performance to “match” my GPA. My college counselor commented on this discrepancy, noting that my lower test scores could potentially hold me back from achieving my academic goals after high school.

As of last August, nine of the ten songs on the top charts are either hip-hop or R&B. “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5 is sitting at number two, and I have to wonder if the song would be doing as well if it did not feature Cardi B.
