Pair of runners earn All-American status at NCAAs

Alabama men's cross country earned its 15th top-25 finish at NCAAs on Saturday. Two Tide runners finished in the top nine and were named All-Americans.

Despite wearing a different jersey number and throwing the ball from his right hand rather than his left, Jones commandeered the same offense as Tua Tagovailoa and had similar results.

In Alabama’s more decisive wins, second- or third-teamers often enter as early as the second quarter, giving the starters some rest and helping the younger players gain experience. During Alabama’s 66-3 win over Western Carolina on Saturday, some didn’t even need to wait that long.
