The International Students Association, South Asian Culture Club and Honors College Assembly hosted Diwali – Indian Festival of Lights on Sunday, Nov. 11. The event offered Indian cultural experiences, and included Indian food, Henna tattoos and dance performances among other activities.
On Friday, the fourth annual Spin-A-Thon to benefit the B+ Foundation raised more than $150,000. The money raised will be used to provide financial assistance to families of kids with cancer nationwide.
The Crimson Kitchen Cooking class was created by Bama Dining to help students learn to make some of their favorite dishes. Classes usually include a three course meal, including an entree and sides.
Temple Emanu-El and Bama Hillel hosted a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the 11 lives lost at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA during a mass shooting on Saturday. Speakers included Rabbi Kussi Lipskier and UA VP of Student Life David Grady.
