As many of Alabama’s students left town for Thanksgiving Break, the football team was still in Tuscaloosa working on its game plan for the Iron Bowl on Saturday. Here are our observations from practice:

Just like on Monday, defensive linemen Raekwon Davis and Phidarian Mathis were back at practice and participating in individual drills and sled work. Freshman nose tackle D.J. Dale was again at practice but not taking part in drills. Freshman Justin Eboigbe and redshirt freshman Christian Barmore also sat out portions of individual drills; the reasons for them standing off to the side are unclear.

Junior defensive lineman LaBryan Ray, who has been out since September with a foot injury, was spotted right before the viewing period. He was not dressed.

Junior wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was also at practice running routes and catching passes from the quarterbacks.

The offensive line was working in its customary pairs, with redshirt junior center Landon Dickerson and redshirt junior right guard Deonte Brown working on combo blocking. A few minutes later Brown and junior right tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. stepped up and simulated pulling around to the left side of the line.
