NEW YORK CITY | The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Colorado Buffaloes in the NIT Final Four from Madison Square Garden with tipoff at 8 p.m. on ESPN2. The Tide comes into the competition 24-11 on the season, while Colorado is 24-13 overall.
This is Alabama’s sixth trip to Madison Square Garden for the NIT Final Four, with its last trip in 2001. The team has advanced to the championship game once in those six times, and that was also in 2001.
Colorado’s offense ranks No. 11 in the nation, averaging 80.1 points per game. However, Alabama’s defense is ranked No. 8 nationally for holding its opponents to 59.2 points per game.
The winner of this game will advance to the NIT championship game on Thursday to play either Washington State or Wichita State.
