Alabama added three new four-star recruits on Wednesday night and Thursday morning – two in the 2020 class and one in 2021.
Drake Maye, from Charlotte, North Carolina, was the first of the three to commit, announcing his decision on Twitter.
He is the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 class and the No. 7 player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite. At the time of his commitment, he was the team’s second recruit in the 2021 class and its only quarterback in the 2020 or 2021 class.

Just over an hour later, defensive tackle Timothy Smith, from Sebastian, Florida, also committed to the Crimson Tide.
The 6-foot-4, 340-pounder is rated the No. 13 DT in the 2020 class and is also the No. 23 player in the state of Florida. He is the team’s third defensive tackle in the 2020 class.
On Thursday morning in-state athlete Kristian Story also committed to Alabama over Twitter. He plays quarterback and safety at Lanett High School and is ranked the No. 224 overall recruit and the No. 10 athlete in the country.
