Four Alabama softball players – three current and one former – medaled at the USA Softball International Cup on Sunday in Columbus, Georgia.

Four-time All-American Haylie McCleney led Team USA (9-1) to the gold medal, driving in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a 2-1 win over Japan. She finished the week with a .481 batting average (13-of-27), six runs and six RBIs. 

Sophomore pitcher Montana Fouts, sophomore infielder Skylar Wallace and incoming freshman pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl all earned bronze medals as members of the USA Under-19 team that finished the week 7-3. 

Fouts, who started 24 games for the Crimson Tide in 2019, started three of 10 games in the International Cup. She allowed 10 hits and one earned run in 16.2 innings of work, finishing the week with a 0.42 ERA.

Kilfoyl started one game and entered in relief in another. She pitched 9.0 innings and also allowed just one earned run, sporting a 0.78 ERA.

Wallace played in all 10 games, going 7-for-26 (.269) for the week and scoring seven runs.
