So far this season, the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team has been dominating its competition. Today, the Tide looks to advance to 10-0 on the season in the Bama Bash Tournament. The only thing standing in the way is the Syracuse University Orange, Bama’s last opponent for the weekend.
Based on the Tide’s performance over the weekend however, it appears the Tide shouldn’t have a problem with the Orange. Over the weekend, Alabama has outscored its opponents 41-15, including a 9-0 victory over Syracuse. The closest game of the weekend was a 9-8 win over the Louisville Cardinals. Still, Syracuse hasn’t competed badly over the weekend: their only loss came at the hands of the Crimson Tide.
The key for the Crimson Tide’s victory over Syracuse Saturday was the impressive pitching of Kelsi Dunne, who only surrendered one hit and downed 13 batters in five innings, earning the win for the Crimson Tide.
