Alabama ranked No. 1 in second CFP Poll

Alabama (9-0) was ranked No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings for the second consecutive week when they were released on Tuesday night.

The CFP Selection Committee’s second ranking of the season featured Clemson (9-0) at No. 2 and Notre Dame (9-0) at No. 3. Michigan (8-1) rounded out the top four.

Georgia (8-1), which will play Alabama in the SEC Championship on Dec. 1, was the first team out at No. 5. LSU (7-2) dropped from No. 3 to No. 7 after a 29-0 home loss to Alabama last Saturday.

Mississippi State (6-3), which will play at Alabama this week, was ranked No. 16.
