This weekend, “The Greatest Show Above Earth” will fly into the Tuscaloosa Regional airport.
On April 14-15, various aerial performers, including the Navy’s Blue Angels, FASTRAX Parachute Team, and Precision Exotics Car Race, will present shows from noon until 4 p.m. Tickets are available in multiple different packages at various price points, but event day tickets for adults can be purchased for $15 at the cheapest. Adult tickets are only $10 if ordered online prior to the event. Admission is free for children five and younger.
In addition to the show in the sky, there will be a Kids Zone and a display area showing off over 30 aircrafts such as the UH-60L Blackhawk, the P-3C Orion, and the MH-53E Super Stallion. Helicopter rides will be available after the show, and a stocked concession stand will provide food and drink throughout the day.
The free shuttling service from the various parking locations will begin running at 9 a.m., and the gates will open at 10 a.m., an hour before the show begins. The Tuscaloosa Regional Airshow plans to proceed with all planned activities even in the case of rain.
