The annual Law School Fair, an opportunity for students to meet with recruiters from law schools across the country, will be Thursday.
This year’s fair will be the biggest fair that the pre-law program has hosted with representation from many prestigious schools from across the southeast as well as newcomers such as University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, Boston College and Boston University.
“There’s approximately 205 ABA-approved law schools in the country and 85 of them will be at this event,” said Tyler Roberts, director of pre-law advising. “For students who are considering law school post-grad, this would be a good event to come and start to get a feel for different schools and think about the characteristics they are looking for in their law school.”
WHAT: Law School Fair
WHO: The University of Alabama College of Arts & Sciences is hosting
WHERE: Ferguson Center Ballroom
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
WHY: “It’s an opportunity for students to learn information about schools, for schools to potentially recruit our students and to have conversations with them, and for students to hopefully make meaningful connections that can help them come application time,” Roberts said. “So it should really be a valuable event for anyone who is considering law school.”
