Sloss Music & Arts Festival, which since its incarnation in 2015 has served as Birmingham’s signature summer music festival, has announced its lineup for the 2018 event. This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15.
The festival, which also features numerous art and food vendors, a beer garden and live iron pouring demonstrations, happens at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham. Sloss Fest will play host to 44 bands on four stages over the course of the two-day festival. Arcade Fire, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Griz will headline. Isbell is an Alabama native, as are performers St. Paul & The Broken Bones and Waxahatchee.
Also on the lineup are The War On Drugs, Moon Taxi, Vance Joy, Louis The Child and Rainbow Kitten Surprise. The full lineup, as well as information about tickets, lodging and festival experiences, is available on the Sloss Fest website. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.
