Christmas season has officially arrived and it’s time to decide what type of tree person you are: real or fake.
For all of you who put in the effort to decorate your college homes and apartments with trees, stockings and garland this Christmas, here are a few places to visit for your shopping escapades.
Whether your tree is artificial or real, a decorated home is, for many, a must for the holiday season. Here are some stores that can help you make that all-too-important decision that could define your Christmastime feels.
Murphy’s Tree Farm
Murphy’s Tree Farm offers a variety of selections for your tree needs. Located at 7209 Mill Way, Murphy’s Tree Farm is open seven days a week. The farm is a seasonal, small local business owned by Wayne Murphy. Buyers who shop there start a tradition of celebrating Christmas with trees from Murphy’s Tree Farm.
Parker Farm Produce
If you’re more of a garland decorator, Parker Farm Produce offers Christmas wreaths and greenery during the holiday season. Located at 12912 Bone Camp Road in Northport, owners Charles and Alice Parker accommodate buyers from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Along with local produce, the Parkers sell greenery to add some Christmas love to your home this holiday season.
P&P Produce
P&P Produce is a local business located over the bridge in Northport that sells Christmas trees during the holidays. Family owned for 51 years, P&P is open Monday-Saturday 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. until Christmas.
Belle Foods
Belle Foods on McFarland, located across the street from Midtown, is a great place to shop for your tree needs. Set up in the parking lot, Christmas trees are sold during the holiday season, and it’s also a great place to recycle your trees when you no longer are using them.
Target and Home Depot
If you’re more of a clean-cut, artificial Christmas tree person, there are plenty of options for your tree needs. As well as shopping online, there are stores around town that have artificial trees for those who don’t want to deal with the real tree chaos.
Home Depot and Target both offer a variety of selections of fake trees, even some that are already lit and decorated. Located on 13th Avenue East, Target and Home Depot are easy places to pick up any last minute Christmas decorations.
