Tonight at 7 p.m., musician, author, poet, actor and activist Willie Nelson will take the stage of the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
As a musician at heart, Nelson will bring his “outlaw country” style to the Amphitheater and continue to advocate for concepts like the use of biofuels and the legalization of marijuana.
Nelson is more than an active musician, however, as he has acted in more than 30 films and co-authored numerous novels such as the most recent “Pretty Paper,” and autobiography “It’s a Long Story: My Life.”
It is through a combination of his music, acting and writing that Nelson has continued to live as an individual fearless of public speech and demand change. Additionally, Nelson provides a spread of lyrics promoting self-reflection and worldly awareness.
At 84 years old, Nelson still seems to show no plans of slowing in his aspirations to perform and advocate for his beliefs. From his performance in Tuscaloosa on Oct.11 to his final performance on Jan. 14, Nelson will perform in 27 shows total.
