The third week of the NFL preseason has come to a close. From established veterans continuing to make plays to rookies hoping to prove they belong, here are the highlights from former Alabama players during Week 3 of the preseason.
New York Giants All-Pro safety Landon Collins intercepted a pass from New York Jets quarterback Christian Hackenberg and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown. Collins added four tackles in the game.
Oakland Raiders two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper linked up with quarterback Derek Carr for four catches and 78 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown late in the second quarter.
San Francisco 49ers rookie linebacker Reuben Foster racked up eight tackles against the Vikings on Sunday. That included a tackle on rookie running back Dalvin Cook for a 5-yard loss on the game’s first play from scrimmage.
ArDarius Stewart, a rookie wide receiver for the New York Jets, caught five passes for 82 yards Saturday against the Giants. Stewart hauled in second-half touchdowns of 15 and 25 yards as the Jets rallied to a 32-31 win.
Former Heisman Trophy-winning running back Derrick Henry rushed for 24 yards on nine carries for the Tennessee Titans. Henry also caught three passes for 29- yards and a touchdown from quarterback Marcus Mariota.
