This weekend, vintage and homemade items are going to be in great variety in Northport.
The 5th Street Vintage Market, West Alabama’s only vintage market, will take place on Sunday in Northport. The market is located at 4150 5th St. It will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
Lori Watts, one of the event’s organizers, said that the vintage market was brought to the West Alabama area because there seemed to be a need.
The Vintage market will have a variety of vintage, antique and homemade items for sale by regional venders. Accessories, clothing, jewelry, furniture and original art work will also be available to purchase.
The market is organized by partners Lori Watts, Sylvia Parker and Jamie Cicativllo.
Anyone looking to become a vendor at the market should contact the vintage market via email at [email protected]. All items for sale must be vintage, crafted from vintage materials or vinyl records.
Concessions are also going to be available at the market, and the money received from hotdog sales are going to Project Blessings, a local charity that provides home improvement assistance to low income families.
Markets will also take place April 2, May 7 and June 4 at the same time and location.
