A dangerous hostage situation that broke out at Northport Dreamland Bar-B-Cue has been peacefully resolved, according to Sherriff’s Department sources.
“Police have surrounded a vehicle and are attempting to make an arrest in the parking lot at the Northport Dreamland Barbecue restaurant on Friday night,” per the breaking development on TuscaloosaNews.com at 9:32 p.m.
The Sherriff’s Department has since released a statement that indicated the situation has been negotiated with no casualties.
“It has come to a peaceful conclusion. At this point in time the case is being handed over to Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit,” said Assistant Police Chief Keith Carpenter of the Northport Police Department.
