Around 3:40 p.m. on Monday, The University of Alabama Police Department received a call about possible shots fired at the South Engineering Research Center (SERC) building on campus. After responding immediately, UAPD found neither evidence that shots were fired nor that any other criminal activity had occurred.
UAPD has checked the SERC building and has confirmed to The Crimson White that the area is safe for students and faculty. However, UAPD has dispatched officers to patrol the area on foot as a precautionary measure.
