According to a new ranking created by Business First, the University of Alabama is one of the top 75 public colleges in the country. The survey places UA at number 54.
Factors taken into account to create the list included “academic excellence, prestige, diversity and economic strength.” 477 public four-year colleges were examined in all.
The University of Alabama comes second overall in the state, losing by one slot to Auburn at number 53. A separate survey ranked the fourteen colleges in the Southeastern Conference, placing UA eighth.
