The National Weather Service in Birmingham has declared an ‘elevated’ risk of severe weather for the Tuscaloosa area beginning Tuesday evening, roughly from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. While most of the severe weather will be concentrated south of Tuscaloosa, the area is listed as at risk for tornados, gusts in excess of 70 miles per hour and quarter-size hail.
Students should be sure they can receive weather updates in multiple ways, and check back often for changes in conditions.
