Students who like funk, hip-hop and electronic music are in for a treat. This Thursday, Feb. 18, Blunt Force will perform at the Green Bar on 4th Street at 10:30 p.m.
Green Bar has live musical performances every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Admission is $5 and doors open at 8 p.m. Attendees must be 19 or older.
Blunt Force consists of Austin, Texas natives Brian Gustafson and Deniz Baykal who joined forces in February 2014. Gustafson released one EP, “A Brighter Tomorrow,” under the group’s title before the two began working together.
According to the group’s website, Gustafson and Baykal teamed up with Denver producer Kinetik Groove in 2014 to form an electronic hip-hop side group called Kinetick Force. Kinetick Force released one EP, “Fusion,” in December 2014 and another, “Fusion-The Remixes,” in April of last year.
Blunt Force is expected to release a new EP this spring.
