When I received UA President Robert Witt’s campus-wide e-mail urging me to call my representatives and tell them to support the bill that would not place a tuition cap on PACT students, I almost lost it.

Maybe we should do a background check on Witt to see if he worked at AIG or Enron before coming to the University. He, along with other university presidents, is a pathetic money-hoarding scumbag.

Heck, look at the name of the program: PACT. Just what does this mean to some of our dimwitted representatives? Nothing. PACT is not just a smile and a handshake. It’s a contract that affects nearly 44,000 families. The state made a promise, and simply handing participants’ money back with apologies for not keeping that promise is not good enough. PACT participants were led to believe that it would be a secure investment. Whether it is the House, Senate, or a blending of the bills, the state should make good on its promise.
