Attendance spikes at Burke Thanksgiving meal

The Student Government Association partnered with Bama Dining, the office of Student Care and Well-Being and the Honors College to provide students a meal on Thanksgiving. The attendance increased from about 50 students last year to about 250 this year.

Sigma Kappa sorority joins UA Panhellenic

Sigma Kappa is undergoing an extended recruitment process to create a new chapter at The University of Alabama. Sigma Kappa participated in the first round of open houses during formal recruitment but dropped out afterward to begin a re-establishment process, which includes intersessions, personal visits and additional events throughout September until their official bid day on Sept. 23.

Every year, many students spend hours searching for the ideal summer internship in their chosen field, considering factors such as location, pay and the type of work they will be doing. For Anna Claire Toxey, a senior majoring in public relations, an unexpected recommendation made for a very beneficial summer.
