Lights, stage, cameras – it’s showtime. The Miss Druid City Pride 2020 pageant was held at Icon Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. Six contestants competed and Imberli Vontrell, Miss Druid City Pride 2019, crowned her successor Elektra Vontrell as Miss Druid City Pride 2020.

The XXXI to host She Leads Conference

The XXXI will host the She Leads Women’s Lifestyle and Leadership Conference on Friday, Jan. 31 from 5:31 to 8:31 p.m. in Russell Hall. Those who attend will hear from keynote speakers who will give advice and share their experiences in the workplace.  

Eta Omega Pi hosts first-ever Honor Breakfast

Eta Omega Pi will be hosting its first-ever Honor Breakfast on Jan. 25, 2020, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The event is to honor veterans in the Tuscaloosa community, including active duty members, ROTC candidates, veterans on campus and their families. This event is free and open to the public.

Operation Iron Ruck sets rivalry aside

The three-day march from Bryant-Denny Stadium to Jordan-Hare Stadium will begin on  Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 7 a.m. Operation Iron Ruck has the mission of bringing awareness to veteran suicide prevention. Participants will ruck 151 miles while carrying 22-pound rucksacks to signify the 22 veterans who take their lives every day.
