Let’s talk about what it’s like to be a woman. Sexism in the workplace is annoying, and I don’t understand why people think it’s OK to talk down to people in general, let alone talking down to someone for their gender.
Sometimes, saying “ma’am” and “sir” is perfectly OK and appropriate, but learning to differentiate when to say it and when not to can be hard for a Southerner.
When you go out to eat, try to take into consideration that although your server is indeed there to serve you, they are also a real person with feelings.
