PRACTICE REPORT: Running back not seen at Thursday practice
More stories from James Benedetto
On a cold and overcast Thursday afternoon, Alabama once again held practice inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. Here are our observations from practice:
Najee Harris was not seen with the running backs during the media viewing period. Although he was not spotted, it doesn’t mean that he did not appear at practice after the viewing period. Brian Robinson Jr. led the group through a ladder drill and then weaving through polls.
Tua Tagovailoa was also not spotted during the media viewing period as he continues to recover from his ankle injury. Mac Jones led the quarterbacks taking first-team reps during individual drills with Tagovailoa’s brother, Taulia, taking second-team reps.
Both Landon Dickerson and Evan Neal were both spotted at practice on Thursday. Dickerson was participating at full-go as he returned to first-team center duties in combo block drills with the centers and guards. Neal was off to the side and not participating in drills during the media viewing period as Emil Ekiyor Jr. filled in for him at the left guard spot.
For the third straight day, Jared Mayden was once again limited during individual drills as he continues to work through a groin injury.
