PRACTICE REPORT: Team moves indoors for second day of practice
More stories from James Ogletree
Rain throughout the afternoon forced Alabama football inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility for practice on Tuesday. Here are our observations from the viewing period:
Freshman inside linebackers Shane Lee and Christian Harris remained with the first-team defense. Coach Nick Saban said Monday that there has been ongoing competition at inside linebacker.
Senior cornerback Shyheim Carter was wearing a brace on his left knee. Senior safety Jared Mayden had a brace on his right knee.
Sophomore cornerback Josh Jobe was off to the side during team drills. He also jogged onto the field late during Monday’s viewing period.
The first-team defensive line consisted of, as expected, senior Raekwon Davis and freshmen D.J. Dale and Byron Young.
While the first-team defense was going through team drills, several outside linebackers seemed to practicing coverage skills.
