The offseason may be in full swing but Alabama Softball remains active in recruiting as it landed a commitment from rising senior Alexis Mack.

Mack spent two seasons with the Oregon Ducks where she earned All-PAC 12 and NFCA First Team Pacific All-Region honors in both seasons.

“We are very excited to add Alexis to our 2020 roster,”coach Patrick Murphy said in a press release. “She will provide tremendous experience to our team next spring. Team 24 could be one of the fastest in our history.”

In her junior season, Mack was second in the Pac-12 in stolen bases with 24. That same year, she was second on the team with a .369 batting average and posted a .418 on-base percentage which ranked her fifth. In 2017, she led the Ducks in batting average (.424) and on-base percentage (.497).  Mack was also a menace on the base pads as she led the Pac-12 in stolen bases with 28.

This will also be Mack’s second stint in the SEC as she started 40 games as a freshman in a South Carolina uniform. That season she hit at a .341 clip, good for second on the team and stole 14 bases on 18 attempts.

The Brecksville, Ohio native should fill the hole in the outfield left by graduating senior Merris Schroder.
