Midterm Write-in provides space for students to work on projects
March 4, 2019
The Creative Writing Department is providing a space in which students can work on their midterm writing projects while socializing with others on March 6. This space will be open for three hours and stocked with snacks and drinks for those participating.
Who: Anyone can attend
What: Midterm Write-in
When: March 6, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Morgan 301
Why:
Sara Hughes, assistant director of Creative Writing at the University, said the Midterm Write-in was organized with creative writing students in mind, but is open to everyone.
“The Creative Writing Write-In is basically an opportunity for undergraduates, whether they’re in a creative writing class or not, to have some space to work on their writing projects, which could be anything from essays to poems to stories,” Hughes said. “And what the Creative Writing program does is, we just provide the space, which is Morgan 301, for three hours. And then we also provide snacks, like sandwiches and chips and things like that.”
