Football finalizes coaching staff

Alabama football finalized its coaching staff for the 2019 season on Friday. In total eight coaches were brought to the staff, with four 0n each side of the ball.

Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Steve Sarkisian:
The former USC head coach was part of the Alabama coaching staff in 2016 as an analyst and was named the offensive coordinator before the 2017 national championship. After the game, he moved onto the NFL where he was the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons.
Offensive line coach Kyle Flood
Like Sarkisian, Flood joins the Crimson Tide from the Falcons, where he was the assistant offensive line coach. Before his stop in Atlanta, Flood was the head coach for Rutgers, where he went to a bowl game in three of his four years there.
Running backs and associate head coach Charles Huff
Before coming to Alabama, Huff coached at Mississippi State at the same role. Under his direction, the Bulldogs averaged 223.6 rushing yards a game. He has 15 years of coaching experience, including a stop with the Buffalo Bills.
Wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins
Wiggins came to Alabama from Virginia Tech, where he coached the Hokies receivers from 2015 till last year. He helped develop Cam Philips, who became the program’s leading receiver in catches and yards.
Defensive coordinator Pete Golding
Golding stays on Nick Saban’s staff from last year. In 2018, he was the co-defensive coordinator alongside Tosh Lupoi. He will continue to coach inside linebackers.
Safeties coach and associate defensive coordinator Charles Kelly
Like Huff, Kelly is staying in the SEC, as he previously coached at Tennessee. Before joining the Volunteers, Kelly coached Florida State’s defensive backs from 2013-17, developing players like Jalen Ramsey and Derwin James.
Outside linebackers coach Sal Sunseri
While at Florida, Sunseri coached the Gator defensive line, which forced 11 fumbles and finished with 37 sacks. He also brings NFL coaching experience, as he coached the Oakland Raiders for three seasons.
Defensive line coach Brian Baker
Baker joins the Alabama staff from Mississippi State. Before coaching the Bulldogs, he coached outside linebackers and defensive lines in the NFL for 18 years. Under his coaching, Montez Sweat and Johnathan Simmons combined for 29 sacks last year and were named first team All-SEC defensive linemen.
