Running back Keilan Robinson, from St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C., stood by his commitment to Alabama on Wednesday, joining the Crimson Tide as the team’s 27th signee of the 2019 recruiting cycle.

There had been some speculation that Robinson would flip his commitment to Maryland to stay closer to home and to follow former Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, but that was not enough to change his mind.

Robinson committed in June, two months after taking an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa. The 5-foot-9, 184-pound running back was the team’s first running back commitment of 2019.

He is currently ranked as the No. 244 overall prospect in the class and the No. 15 running back by the 247Sports Composite Rating.
