The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice will host an Alumni Career Forum that will focus on private industry careers. There will be two alumni, Brand Elverston and Derrick Traverzo, who will speak about their careers. They will also provide direction on how to use a criminology and criminal justice degree in a career in the private sector.

What: Alumni Career Forum

Who: Open to public

When: Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Room 120 Farrah Hall

Why: This forum serves as a way for students to meet two distinguished alumni in the field of criminology and criminal justice. Elverston started his own consulting firm, and Traverzo currently specializes in compliance and investigative processes.

“This forum is important because it is not only for criminal justice majors but for all students and will help students plan for a successful future,” said Lesley Reid, department chair and professor.
