According to an email from uanews, at 8 p.m. on Monday, two armed suspects attempted to rob one person and successfully burgled a separate apartment just off campus at 10th Ave. and 14th St.
Both of the suspects are still at large. The email describes them as two six-foot-tall black males with stocky builds and facial hair. They were both wearing hoodies and bandanas, one black and one yellow.
The apartment complex, Sherrill Plaza, houses students and non-students alike.
UPDATE (2/12/2018):
Kydarius Thomas, 18, has been arrested in connection to the attempted robbery and successful burglary at Sherrill Plaza according to the Tuscaloosa Police Department. TPD also obtained an arrest warrant for Tony Prewitt, 23, but has been unable to locate him. Both men are pictured above.
