Few up-and-coming musicians have garnered as much attention and popularity as rising country music star Cole Swindell. The alternative country singer-songwriter will be perform as part of his “Down Home Tour” at Druid City Music Hall tonight at 8:30 p.m.
Born and raised in Bronwood, Ga., Cole Swindell learned his craft at Georgia Southern University where he also met fellow musician Luke Bryan. He signed with Sony music publishing in 2010, then leading a songwriting career. In 2013, he released his debut single “Chillin it”, which rose to the top of the country music charts and got him a record deal with Warner Music Nashville.
He’s also made waves with such energetic singles as “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” “Let Me See Ya Girl,” “Middle of a Memory” and “Flatliner,” which have all maintained the top #1 and #2 spots on Billboard Magazine’s Country Airplay charts. On top of being an accomplished country music songwriter himself, Swindell has written a multitude of singles for various music artists, such as Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, and Craig Campbell.
