What: “Lafayette, We Are Here! America Enters the First World War” exhibit.
Who: The exhibit is open to the public.
Where: The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum, located at 1901 Jack Warner Parkway.
When: The museum is open from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays. This particular exhibit will run through Dec. 30.
Why: Katherine Edge, the director of the museum, said this particular exhibit was curated by students at the University of Alabama. They decided to do an exhibit about World War I to commemorate 2017 being 100 years since America entered the war.
“It’s a big deal.” Edge said. “World War I obviously changed everything. Because America entered so late, their involvement was really what turned the war around.”
