What: University Programs Winter Formal.
The formal will be winter wonderland-themed with free food, a live DJ, and giveaways of scholarships and electronics. Students are encouraged to bring a toy for donation to the local Toys for Tots.
Who: The event will be hosted by University Programs. All students are welcome to attend.
When: Thursday, Nov. 30 from 7-10 p.m.
Where: The Ferguson Center Ballroom.
Why: LaToya Scott, director of University Programs, hopes the event will be a chance for students to celebrate their accomplishments this semester, while giving back to the community.
“It is important for students to celebrate as the semester comes to an end because they have had such a successful semester and made it this far,” Scott said. “Whether they’re doing very well or not so good, they still made it. Students should give back as giving back is so much more and so much bigger than anyone.”
