A special college rivalry episode of game show “The Price Is Right” will air tomorrow, and just like Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium, Alabama will take on Auburn in the program.
The episode, titled “Thanksgiving Special: College Rivals,” airs tomorrow, Wednesday Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. CT on CBS, as reported by TV Guide.
In a preliminary clip, host Drew Carey calls down fans from both schools, clad in team gear, to play the popular game show’s famous pricing games. At which time, the fans exchange a cheerful yet reluctant hug.
The fan representing UA is Lauren Leddo, an alumnae from Chelsea, Alabama who currently lives in San Diego, California. After a spokesperson from “The Price Is Right” reached out to the San Diego alumni chapter, Leddo and a few of her friends drove to Los Angeles for the day to try their luck on the show.
“They were choosing one person from each school so the odds of getting chosen were pretty good,” Leddo said. “How and why they chose me is still a mystery!”
Leddo has been a fan of the Crimson Tide her whole life, so showing off her Bama spirit on “The Price Is Right” was a dream come true.
“I love being a Bama fan so any chance I get to show people that is an awesome time to me,” she said.
She’s nervous, however, when it comes to Saturday’s game.
“Just thinking about it makes me sick at my stomach,” she said. “Let’s talk about it on Sunday!”
