What: University of Alabama Homecoming Parade

Who: Different student organizations, such as the Million Dollar Band, Crimsonettes and cheerleaders will participate in the parade. 

The event is open to the public. 

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Where: The parade will line up in downtown Tuscaloosa at 11 a.m, traveling around campus and finishing at the Family Friendly Tailgate on Peter Bryce Boulevard. 

Why: After a week chock full of activities on campus, the Homecoming celebrations will come to a culmination on Saturday, Oct. 14 with the University of Alabama Homecoming Parade kicking off prior to the football game against the University of Arkansas. 

This time-honored tradition on campus aims to unite the student body, past and present, as well as residents of Tuscaloosa, in celebration. 

“[The parade] is meant to celebrate homecoming, the Capstone and to recognize the celebrations of the entire week,” sad Addalee Cantrell, senior nursing major and director of parade events. “It’s a great way for the community of UA, the alumni, students and citizens of Tuscaloosa to celebrate all that homecoming means.”
