What: Personal Statement Writing Workshop.

This event will provide undergraduate students who are interested in applying to graduate school with more information about personal statement writing, in addition to the graduate school application process as a whole.

Free pizza will be served.   

Who: The Writing Center will host this event which is free and open to all undergraduate students.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 11, 5 – 6:15 p.m.

Where: 119 Lloyd Hall

Why: The Personal Statement Writing Workshop aims to answer any questions students may have pertaining to personal statement writing and the graduate school application process.

“Professors from a variety of university departments will be on hand to offer real-life experience and advice on what graduate schools are looking for in both applications and personal statements,” said Kelsey Worsham, coordinator of the personal statement writing workshop. “There will be a Q&A period with professors, as well as a writing center tutor-guided workshop where students will be able to practice writing personal statements.”
