No. 1 Alabama continued its dominance to start its SEC schedule by defeating Ole Miss, 66-3. The Crimson Tide overwhelmed the Rebels right from the start, jumping out to an 18-point lead in the first quarter. Alabama continued to pour it on throughout the game, finishing with 613 yards of offense. Alabama is now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in SEC play.

Moment of the game

Senior Levi Wallace intercepted Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson and returned it for a 35-yard touchdown. It was the first non-offensive touchdown this year for the Crimson Tide, and Wallace’s second interception on the year.

• Levi Wallace returned Shea Patterson’s pass for a touchdown. It was Alabama’s first non-offensive touchdown this season, and Wallace’s second pick this year. He would intercept another pass and return it 31 yards. He has three interceptions this season.
• Jedrick Wills made his first career start. He is the 13th player to start for Alabama this season. 
• Jalen Hurts continued to climb in the Alabama history books. He finished with four touchdowns, which gave him 47 career touchdowns, making him the No. 5 all time in Alabama history. He also passes Steadman Shealy in career quarterback rushing yards, after his 101-yard performance. He is now No. 4 all-time.
• JK Scott made his first career field goal of the year on a 46-yard kick. 
• Najee Harris scored his first career touchdown on a 4-yard run. He finished with 23 yards.
• Da’Shawn Hand left the game with an apparent leg injury. He was carted to the locker room and did not return to the game.
• Trevon Diggs also left the game with an apparent leg injury. He returned to Alabama’s sideline with a boot on his right foot and on crutches.
• Sixteen true freshman made an appearance after LaBryan Ray entered late in the fourth quarter.
