Fall practice is starting for football, which means the return of football hype. The excitement starts on Saturday, when the Crimson Tide will have an open practice in Bryant-Denny Stadium from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Fans can arrive by 1 p.m. to receive a color-coded wristband. The first 150 fans at Gate 25 will receive the wristband, which allows early entrance for autographs after practice.
Autographs will start after practice and run for 45 minutes. Members of the football team, coaching staff and head coach Nick Saban will all be signing autographs. However, no posed pictures will be allowed.
Vendors will be walking around the stadium selling concessions and the concession stands on the west side of the field will be open. There will be merchandise available to buy, along with 3,000 autographed posters to be given away.
Parking will be in the west ten Hoor parking lot. Both parking decks and the surface lots will all be available.
If the weather turns bad, the Fan Day activities will be held in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
