The No. 24 Alabama men’s golf team finished the first day of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate on Monday in eighth place with a score of 14-over par 574. The Crimson Tide was led by junior Lee Hodges. He finished with a 36-hole total of 1-under 139, which is tied for eighth overall. Junior Steven Setterstrom is 35th heading into the final 18 holes, shooting 6-over par 146.
No. 3 Auburn and No. 21 Baylor are tied for the lead and go into the final 18 holes at 2-under par 558.
The Crimson Tide is paired with Florida State and South Alabama for Tuesday’s tees off at holes 16 through 20 at 8 a.m.
