Nine members of the Crimson Tide were named players of the week after Alabama defeated then-No. 6 Texas A&M 33-14 on Saturday.
Offensive linemen Bradley Bozeman and Cam Robinson were recognized on offense along with running back Damien Harris. All three were selected in part because of their contributions to a rushing attack that finished with 287 yards on 57 attempts for an average of five yards per carry.
Harris lead the team with 125 rushing yards for an average of 6.9 yards per carry. The coaching staff also announced that Robinson posted a grade of 89 percent and did not allow a quarterback hurry or give up a sack.
On the defensive side, the coaches selected defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster and Marlon Humphrey. Allen, who was also recognized by the SEC this week, finished second in tackles with six, returned a fumble 30 yards for a touchdown and recorded a sack. Foster lead the team with 12 tackles and Humphrey grabbed his second interception of the season and recorded three tackles on Saturday.
Linebacker Keith Holcombe and Mack Wilson were selected to represent the special teams for their efforts that helped limit the Aggies to 2.5 punt return yards. Wilson also finished with a couple of highlight worthy hits on kickoff returners that had the fans inside Bryant-Denny Stadium cheering. Punter JK Scott was also recognized after he finished with two punts for 107 yards.
